From the Series ‘Une Semaine A Londres’ No 5 Ouverture de l’Expostion’ French manufacture marked ‘Creil et Montereau Medailles l’Or L.M. & Cie 1834 39 44 49. Porcelain Opaque. Circa 1860’s. Very clean plate no chips or blemishes. The plate seems to an accurate representation of the opening and shows Prince Albert with the two children who attended including Bertie in full highland dress as he actually appeared on the day. It’s not porcelain it’s vitreous china which the French would describe as Opaline. No chips or cracks, clean and bright. It has a lid and a base. Height 2 1/4 inches. Width 4 inches. Price £85
